The department of computer science and information engineering aims to enhance students' potential and cultivate students' implementation skills through a combination of theory and practice; to expand students' specialized knowledge and also emphasize democracy, law, morality and humanism; to build up students' abilities to analyze and design information systems to solve existing problems in management and industry.

For several years in a row, this MIS department has been evaluated as first rank by the Ministry of Education. Over a period of more than ten years, the DoMI has cultivated hundreds of graduates who are highly appreciated by their employers. In an integrated environment of effective teaching and research in MIS, students are equipped with a solid back- ground in information technologies, proficient management skills and a broad vision. Therefore, they are able to solve business problems from the perspective of both technology and management.
