After Taiwan's entry into the WTO, the volume of commercial, trade, and cultural contacts with other countries has continued to increase, thus making foreign language skills essential. Accordingly, the Applied English Studies Department has set up a daytime program in the four-year college division and in the junior college division as well as an evening program in the extension division. Our students are given a grounding in the humanities as well as practical skills such as computer science, a good knowledge of economics and trade, and the ability to communicate well.
Armed with these skills, our graduates will be well equipped to meet today's needs.
