Explanation of Project
Internationalization and
globalization of distribution sector has expended all over the
world. The research relevant to Distribution or retailing has also
become our state major goal of nation’s development policies.
Especially, those world-renowned scholars on such themes as the role
of Asia in the world economy and the ideal form of distribution
reforms to be undertaken actively by Asia. Hope to create a
distribution network among the Asian countries and to speed up the
final purpose of integration of the world distribution Science
through research activities on Asian distribution.
The development of
retailing in Japan, no matter in distribution or retailing of style
or types, are well known, always be followed by Taiwan.
Furthermore, the development and presence of distribution is the
most important for our students, teachers, business people to
understand, thus, for improving learning from that , we assign those
whose full of experience to join this project. Though the field
work to obtain the most advanced view of Japanese distribution
sectors. Such like, distribution centers, shopping centers,
hypermarkets, department stores, supermarkets, and shopping street
and so on. To find the Niche market for our country to reach the
best international position, and understand the potential brand new
type of retailing or operation in Japan, for transferring the best
adaptive style for Taiwan retailing Market.
In addition, our
university (CUTE) has excellent experience with the Nippon Institute
of Technology (NIT) for the international cooperation since 2004,
through the exchange between teachers and students, activities of
holding conferences, and cooperate researches. Both Taiwan and
Japan have their close communication to reach the same goal of
international cooperation.
University of Marketing
and Distribution Sciences established in 1988, is one of two famous
universities in Marketing and Distribution, where located in Kobe,
Japan. UMDS is the brand new idea and innovation of Distribution,
Marketing both on academic and practice sides. UMDS also has the
same educational idea of the Department of Marketing and Logistic of
CUTE, is the best International exchange for Cute.
In this study plan, the
counterpart of the CUTE for the international cooperation is the
University of Marketing and Distribution Sciences(UMDS), and the
main focuses are as followings:
1. To plan the basic
cooperation conditions, co-studies and an international seminar
2. To expand student
intercourse and common study
(a) The professors of
Faculty of Marketing and Distribution in C.U.Te visited UMDS in
January 2009. In the future, more visiting activities will be held
between both universities.
(b) Both CUTE and UMDS
will assign common research topics for student study and going to
present in an international seminar.
3. To plan academic
cooperative relationship
To participate teaching
and research by the mutual visit professors. Both CUTE and NIT sides
of professors establish a research network and visit the counterpart
for teaching.
4.To plan exchange
students program
This project is lasting
for three-years from 2010. This project will produce 10 research
papers and 4 master theses, and 30 trained personnel. In 2011, the
cooperative frame and field materials will be prepared. In 2012
plan, the cooperation and mutual study will be going on widely. The
final goals of the program are sharing the experience
internationally and elevating preservation concepts and practical
methods by mutual activities.
